JANUARY 13TH 2022 AT APPROXIMATELY 2 PM. SUSPECT UNSUCCESSFULLY ATTEMPTED TO STEAL A VEHICLE CONTAINING THREE CHILDREN AT THE 200 BLOCK OF EAST BUFFALO STREET. ETH SUSPECT LEFT THE VEHICLE AND BEGAN TO LEAVE THE SCENE. THE ADULT FEMALE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE. OKAY A CELL PHONE AROUND HER VEHICLE AND ENTER A NEARBY BUSINESS. WHEN INSIDE THE BUSINESS THE SUSPECT THEY ATTEMPTED TO STEAL ETH VEHICLE APPROACHED THE FEMALE AND ATTEMPTED TO ROB HER. DAN OFF DUTY MILWAUKEE POLICE DEPARTMENT DETECTIVE INTERVENED ANNOUNCED TTHA HE WAS AN OFFICER AND ATTEMPTED TO DETAIN THE SUSPECT. IT’S STRUGGLING SHOULD ENSUED AT WHICH TIME THE SUSPECT BRANDIS A FIREM.AR THE SUSPECT FIRE MULTIPLE SHOTS AT THE RKOC OFF TO THE DETECTIVE TIMES AND THE SCEEN THE DETECTIVE RETURN GUNFIRE AND AT TSHI TIME, THERE’S NO INDICATION THE OFFICER GUNFIRE STRUCK ANYONE. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER REFUSED TO STOP IN A VEHICLE PURSUIT ENSUED. THE VEHICLE PURSUIT ENDED ON A 38 3000 BLOCK OF NORTH 30TH STREET, I EXCUS ME,E BUT 3,000 BLOC OKF NORTH 30TH STREET. MULTIPLE SUSPECTS FLED ON FOOT AND 18 YEAR OLD MALE AND A 17 YEAR OLD MALE WERE APPREHENDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THE DETECTIVE INVOLVED IT IS 37 MILL ONLY YEAR OLD MALE WITH SEVENEA YRS OF SERVICE WITH A MARKET POLICE DEPARTMENT. HE’S TO STAY LIFE THREATENING INJURIES. HE WAS TRANSFERRED TO A LOCAL HOSPITAL AND IS IN STABLE CONDITION. THE MARKET POLEIC DEPARTMENT HOMICIDE DISIVION IS LEADING INVESTIGATION. An off-duty Milwaukee police detective intervened when he saw someone trying to steal a woman’s car with three children inside.When he tried to detain the suspect, a struggle ensued and the suspect fired several shots, hitting the detective multiple times, Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman said. The suspect ran from the scene. The children are OK. The officer was taken to Froedtert Hospital and was conscious and breathing, sources said. He is expected to survive. An off-duty police officer was shot Thursday afternoon in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.

It happened in the area of North Water and East Buffalo Streets, near the Shake Shack.

An off-duty Milwaukee police detective intervened when he saw someone trying to steal a woman’s car with three children inside.
