WISCONSIN — International spectators won’t be able to attend the 2022 Beijing Olympics in person when they start Friday over COVID-19 travel restrictions, but the best way to cheer on 12 Winter Olympics athletes from Wisconsin is from at home.

The Olympic schedule shows games starting Wednesday, ahead of Friday’s ceremony. Wisconsin athletes will partake in competitions such as curling, women’s ice hockey and the biathlon.

McFarland, a town in central Wisconsin, gets the most representation out of Badger State cities with three athletes. A couple of southeast Wisconsin towns made the list: Delafield and Dousman in Waukesha County and West Bend in Washington County.
