We had overnight and early morning rain showers, but then the rain stopped for the day…giving us a break. It has been cloudy, foggy and mild with temps mainly in the 50s, except for some 40s in Fond du Lac and Sheboygan. We got a break during the day, but rain showers return this evening and overnight. We could still see about 1″ of rain across the area, but the chance for those 2″ amounts should be gone now after a dry day. Unfortunately, we can’t avoid the rain changing to snow before sunrise after a cold front drops temps into the mid 30s.
Snow is likely in the morning, and then moves out after the noon hour. Milwaukee and areas south could see up to 1″ of slush. Waukesha, Mequon, and West Bend could see 1-3″ of wet snow, and Beaver Dam and Fond du Lac could see 3-5″ of snow. It all depends on when it gets cold enough to change the rain to snow. Thursday afternoon is cloudy and windy with highs in the 30s.
Sunshine returns on Friday with highs in the low 40s, and then clouds move back in for Saturday with a morning wintry mix and afternoon rain. High temps will be in the mid 40s, and Sunday will be near 50 with more sunshine. The active weather continues with a chance for rain on Monday and Wednesday and next week.
